Resilient Grand Haven was a cooperative land use planning and community development project involving the City of Grand Haven and Grand Haven Charter Township. Under the project, new master plans were developed for the City and Township. Although the City and Township master plans have unique and separate goals and objectives, both master plans have identical information pertaining to the physical and social status and trends of the entire community, as well as detailed information about the potential impacts of increased storms and shoreline dynamics along their shared Lake Michigan coastline. As a result of this joint effort, the two jurisdictions agreed to conduct future amendments and revisions of the master plans together.
